Ben Fraser

Coach Ben Fraser, a former Cardiff Mustangs player, is thrilled to join the Cardiff Sockers coaching staff. Born and raised in Cardiff, Ben developed a deep love for the game through years of playing in the community. He credits influential coaches like Kraig Chiles and Mark O’Sullivan for igniting his passion and shaping him both as a player and as a person. Now, he is eager to give back by helping the next generation of Cardiff players develop into great athletes and great people.

Ben played four years of NCAA Division III soccer at Chapman University in Orange County. In 2022, he helped Chapman win the SCIAC Championship and earned a spot in the NCAA National Tournament. His collegiate experience gave him valuable insights into the demands of college soccer, which he now shares with aspiring student-athletes at Cardiff Sockers College Nights. Whether players aim for the NCAA, NAIA, junior college, or club-soccer levels, Ben provides guidance on the recruiting process, training habits, and what it takes to succeed at the next level.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes technical development, tactical awareness, and a love for the game that extends beyond competition. He prides himself on creating a welcoming environment where Sockers can come express themselves on the field.
